They had just moved back to their home state of Kansas after living in Phoenix from 1983-1989. While in Phoenix, the Shores saw a steel drum band performing and decided to buy some and learn to play.
Brad and Linda performed as Tropical Shores with their 3 children during the early 2000s . When the kids started to get older and move away to start their own lives. The Shores were both music educators the public school system, followed by years as the director of athletic bands and steel drum bands at Bethel College. Brad and Linda performed as a duet with backing tracks at many events including the Kansas State fair until Linda was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away in 2014, devastating all who knew her.
Brad has written hundreds of arrangements and original compositions for steel drum players worldwide and is best known for his "Pan Tunes Series" which is available at his music site www.tropicalshores.net
